I've been using these for years. I take 1 cap with my a.m. med's & 1 at bedtime. This isn't meant to be a laxative but a stool softener.Taking MORE pills than recommended is NOT a good idea. I’m not sure, but I don’t think these pills helped me. I was constipated — for several weeks, it was difficult for me to have a proper bowel movement. I was going to the bathroom, but it felt like not everything was coming out — like something was stuck. I bought these pills hoping they would fix the problem. On Monday evening, I took two. On Tuesday during the day, I took three. But nothing happened after that — I didn’t go to the bathroom. So on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, I decided to start eating dried apricots and prunes regularly, because I read online that they are good natural remedies for constipation. On Wednesday evening, I was finally able to go, and again on Thursday. I’m not sure what exactly helped — the prunes, the apricots, or the pills. It’s hard to say, but the pills didn’t seem to have any noticeable effect. And I still feel like the issue isn’t fully resolved. I’ve been continuing to eat dried apricots and prunes actively for the past five days.
