Good protection.

My wife has been having blackout episodes with no warning. After falling three times and hitting her head on our tike floors, we knew we had to try something until the doctors get this figured out.Of course no one wants to have to wear a padded helmet around but she has taken this in stride. Helmet is very easy to fit to size and slip on and off. Thankfully she has not fallen since wearing this but at least some peace of mind if she does. Seems to be well made and not too hot to wear.

I use this Thick Soft Protective Helmet for Elderly at night when I sleep to protect my head in case i fall. It protects your head and forehead very well. My wife also uses it when she is alone to protect her head in case of a fall. I am satisfied with my purchase.

It needs a better strap with a clip such as a bike helmet has, or at least a velcro loop. I'm a medium size adult female and the strap is too short to tie into a full bow (so I can untie it easily). I don't have arthritis but I imagine anyone who does might have difficulty with this strap.

This piece of protective equipment is the best I have encountered to prevent injury to the crown and top of my head when I fall or "take a header" into a desktop or counter top due to my Parkinson's or Narcolepsy. The closed cell foam is thick enough to distribute the energy of impact, even when the point of contact is edged or raised, and it is broad enough that I have not experienced any contact to unprotected skin.The "hat" is light weight and cool enough to wear for long periods - a real drawback to hard-shell designs like bicycle helmets.I have thus far been able to wash away anything which has soiled it.The item comes with two "tie at the bottom" chin straps, which I removed.It's only "blem" is it's goofy appearance. More than once I have neglected to take it off when opening the door to retrieve the mail, to the concerned alarm of my poor mail lady. On the whole, not a war-stopper.I highly recommend this item.

Don’t know how much injury it would help, since it’s soft inexpensive foam. Dad is closing in on 85, and falls and has had many head bumps. Yet he refuses to wear this as it is unattractive and dorky looking but that’s not the point. If you’re truly hitting your head a lot, you need to throw vanity out the window and wear whatever helps. Since he won’t wear this, maybe a bike helmet is next.

I have a condition which causes me to walk in circles. It also causes me to fall down. Many doctors have been working to correct my problem (it is in the brain). In the meantimemI was falling once a week outside on hard pavement and being rushed to the hospital, In an effort to minimizr this problem I started using a walker. I learned you can fall over with a walker and it hurts MORE. Long story shorter, I bought the helmet to pad my head when I fall. So far have only fallen in the house (I try to avoid going out). Both times the helmet has worked quite well. Of course I fell on a cerpet - which also helped. Oh. My conditon also has me banging my head (rare) and the helmet helps this extremely well. I bought this because of the price. If Medicare was helping with the cost I might have purchased a more expensive one. I love my helmet!
