Q: Would this be any good for hanging a wall tapestry?

Hi Rebecca....I bought this to hem two very large curtains. You iron it on to keep the hems in place and it is invisible. I am unsure whether it would be useful for your need, but I found it to be excellent for mine.

Q: Does the sticky side damage walls?

It depends on what is on the wall, it is very sticky and once its glue set is hard to remove so I would say in most cases yes it would cause some damage to most surfaces wall paper/paint over plaster etc - when removed incorrectly. Apparently if you can lift an edge and use a razor blade or such to cut the glue away from the wall and then clean up the residue later with soap and water,or you can use a hair dryer to heat it up and slowly remove it but I have never done either of these methods

Q: I am looking to fix a fabric head rest material onto the back of a leather recliner. Is the tape suitable for leather

I bought it for leather side cushions that lean on the inside arms of my next cuddle chair and it lasted about a month - I think if it were having minimal movement you’d be fine - but even when removed it left no unsightly marks - so all was well
