Better than most cleansing oils
What is so amazing about this product is that it actually works. I have used many cleansing oils from extremely high end to drugstore options. I have many that I love and many that I do not. This has an extremely thin, liquidy texture, so you have to be prepared for that. It is almost like water. Do not let that deter you from buying this product. What makes this so good is that it thoroughly cleanses your skin and removes make up exceptionally well. I like it so much I double cleanse with it at night especially if my skin is feeling dry. This is a super lightweight oil that could be used by anyone with any skin type. There is a slight fragrance. I do not find this to be bad however, it could be improved. I find that it is not that big of a deal because I will continue to use this product because it works very well. I have used cleansing balms in the past, but they can feel so heavy. This is super light weight on the skin and leaves behind no residue. I feel that is what makes this product a true gem and also not having any residual makeup on my face after cleansing. I would recommend this to anyone even if someone just has dry skin and wants a good cleanser. This is a great one. This is great for all skin types. My skin can lean on the side of sensitive, and the fragrance does not irritate my skin. I still feel that it could be improved. That is my only complaint. Great oil cleanser. Will definitely be re-purchasing.

Holy grail makeup remover!
this cleansing oil from The Face Shop has been amazing! It melts off all my makeup at night and leaves my skin feeling super clean and soft! I could feel it unclogging my pores , like little bits of sebum coming out, it doesn’t break me out (even though it’s an oil), smells nice and the packaging is super cute! Total must have in my skincare routine!

Great look! Great smell! Great product!
Firstly, let’s talk marketing genius! The look of this product is one that one embarrass you to have next to your sink. The smell is wonderful! A little bit goes a long way. My skin felt so incredibly smooth and supple after just one wash. I’ve even allowed my preteen to use it for her acne-proned skin and the results are amazing! This gel makes a nice foam lather so it’s clear that your face is getting clean. The value for the money in the size and amount of product is on point. This will definitely be on our monthly shopping list!!

Great makeup remover!
I love how well this product removes my makeup. After using it a few times, I feel like it’s making me breakout a little. I think I have to use a different kind of cleaner and not an oil one.

My opinion changed after I started using it again ... my skin looks so much better.
I bought this about two years ago and didn't think it was all that special at the time. Then I got it back out and started using it again, and I could see a difference in my skin. My skin looked hydrated, and my pores looked smaller. Maybe a couple of years ago, my skin looked better, and I couldn't see it worked. But this time, I saw the results fast. I don't wear makeup, so I can't rate how well it may clean off makeup, but my face feels clean after using it.It is watery, so I have to use more than I should, and it doesn't lather, but it works. I decided I will buy this product again, I am hoping they have not changed anything. The bottle does look different, but it was two years ago, and since I am seeing a difference in my skin, it means the effectiveness will last even if you don't use it for a while.

Good but if sensitive to fragrance then skip
I enjoy this facial oil as getting off my makeup. It does have a strong fragrance and I always somehow get it in my mouth all of the time. The fragrance can be too overwhelming so if your sensitive to fragrance i would skip. It does have a slippery and wet consistency and it's very thin and and water like unlike the other oils I've tried.

Such a good makeup remover!
I have finally found a cleanser that really does remove all my makeup! I haven't been able to find any product that removes all my eye makeup--this does without me scrubbing. Love this--it's clear, is oily but not heavy, and rinses well. I love The Face Shop's products!

Lots of regrets purchasing this...don't do it! Pay more for anything else!
The more I use this, the more I regret purchasing it. I've only used DHC oil prior to this and mistakenly thought, after reading all the reviews, that this might be a cheaper alternative. It's about half the price of the DHC oil ($12 vs $28, you can also get a discount on the $28) so I was hoping this would work out well. When I tried it for the first time, it honestly kind of sucked. First of all, this comes out in a very liquidy oil - way more watery than the DHC oil I'm used to. It stung within moments when I put it on my face, which was alarming because I don't have very sensitive skin AND that with me putting it on over a layer of makeup and a robust layer of physical (titanium dioxide + zinc oxide) sunscreen. I'd red some reviews about how it burned people's skin so I was worried. My skin was fine, however what was not fine was the GOOP this turned into on my face when I started rinsing with water. Holy moly, it was almost impossible to rinse off. For those of you familiar with DHC oil, you know it's slightly viscous out of the bottle, like olive oil, but it starts taking off makeup immediately as you rub it into your face and the oil warms up. When the DHC oil comes in contact with water, it turns into this cloudy/milky opaque water and rinses right off.Well, this "light" cleansing oil from The Faceshop did not! It turned gooey and I rinsed for ages but still felt like I was just smearing the makeup around. On top of that, the DHC oil I used to use would take off my mascara along with my foundation (I use only a little of both) but this oil actually gave me huge racoon eyes as it somehow melted my mascara but didn't actually take anything off.I double cleansed and then had to use micellar water to remove the rest of my makeup, which was a substantial amount. So basically this oil took off at most only 50% of the makeup, has some weird fragrance/chemical that stings the skin (and irritates other people's sensitive skin, just look at the reviews), and didn't even work as well as micellar water. The DHC oil took off everything!I was determined to suck it up and still use up this bottle of oil before going back to DHC but it's been a week now and I can't even stand it. It does such an awful job of cleaning that I'm just creating more work for myself, especially with what it does to my mascara. Thank god I don't even wear eyeliner. Also, this leaves an oily film on my contacts that I can actually see when I take them off and put them on a contact solution.I should've stuck to the tried & true Japanese oil cleaners...this is so bad that it's almost like using a fake product. Don't discount the negative one star reviews like I did, there's a reason it's at 13%. As much as I hate wasting money, it's just not even worth it to continue using this just to use it up.
