I love this album so much. It’s a 10-track album, which is very debut-mariah style. Every song is a flawless execution of her musicality in every way. She’s also found a comfortable range now, where she’s still her melismatic & agile self without having to push herself to create something that may be hard to consistently perform longterm. A song for every mood, songs like “With You” are an instant-classic for fans. The skrillex produced track featuring Ty Dolla Sign, “The Distance”, is such a feel good type of song. 8th grade, flawless collab with timbaland and has a beautiful outro. Stay long love you is just a cute bop, same goes for One Mo’ Gen (a personal fave if ya nasty :p) and Caution (named rnb song of the year, 2018). Giving me life, is one of her most creative pieces in a very long time. The way she slides right back into her hip hop roots, featuring slick rick, is again flawless. Her lower register has developed so much is haunting in this song. Speaking of haunting, Giving me Life has one of the most incredible outros she’s ever created. About a minute long, she employs some of her most impresssive Head note phrasing’s. So beautiful. This album has been nonstop on replay for me. A No no, featuring lil Kim sample, another example of her sampling genius, she really does it all. Portrait is stunning, one of her most personal songs ever In a very long time, so poetic. Her songwriting abilities are still so sharp! And last but certainly not least, GTFO. Probably one of her most-viral songs since beautiful, featuring Miguel. Gtfo is one of her smoothest and honest songs, and instantly became Meme-material ever since. How could It not?! And if you don’t think so? “How bout’ you gtfooOOooo?” Haha. Jk. Honestly guys, it’s a great album. Take a chance to listen and enjoy every little bit of artistry that we are still lucky to get by the living Legend, Songbird Supreme, and songwriting expert, Mariah Carey.

I love it

This has quickly become one of my favorite Mariah albums!! Her writing on it is amazing. My favorite thing about Caution is that she highlights elements of her voice that have gone underrated! Namely her LOW REGISTER! Her Low Register game was always on point, but was never as impressive to people as belting or the whistle register. And with the changes in her voice over the years this album is really written to highlight what still comes easy to her, the low notes, the whistles and the falsettos. On this album she blends those 3 together often, creating a warmth of sound that is just gorgeous!!

So I'm a Mariah fan to my heart. So buying this album was second nature. I'm never surprised at how amazing her voice is, however, THIS album touched me differently. I can listen to it straight through and not be able to determine my favorite track. Every track is unique in its own way. Like 1995's Daydream, I cant stop listening to it. Every song is hot. Go buy this album. You won't regret it.

This is so underrated. Mariah gets a bad rep because media likes to create drama where there is none. Mariah is totally in on the joke. Sadly people sleep on good music, this album is totally chill from start to finish. You can listen and hear the new era Mariah is entering. I wont do a song by song breakdown other than to say her song writing is clearly elevated here.

Me I Am Mariag was boring and she seemed disconectec from her roots. Before the released Caution I wasn't sure about the result but she has proved us all wrong because this is the best she has sonded since the Emancipation of Mimi. This album really proves that she wanted to be herself, real, honest and in touch with emotions and I just love it.

She debuted in 1990 and all these years later, she still writes great music and works with the right producers. One of the most underrated gems in music - this album deserved to be #1 and was chosen as the best RnB album of the year.

Finally can enjoy MC’s new album without all the swears. Still not sure why they didn’t release the clean version on digital (or why this cd isn’t clearly marked as the clean version)???Stand out tracks: Giving Me Life & Portrait.
