Truseb Topical Ketoconazole and Chlorhexidine Shampoo for Dogs, Cats & Horses with Aloe Vera and Conditioner(USA) - 12 oz

This stuff is really great for people too! I have seborrhea and have had for quite some time and all of these shampoos that I've used have really come up short. I thought I would try this one and I did and it really does a great job I am free of the discomfort now!

After months of scratching, ear infections, antibiotics, a vicious cycle, my vet finally did a culture to determine what was really needed to treat the source of all the sores and itching in my miserable little Cocker Spaniel. The drug that was needed to treat her is Ketoconazole, but it is dangerous for older dogs and causes liver damage. BUT, it comes in shampoos. After months of going every week for a bath in this shampoo, her skin has cleared up, most of the sores and scabs are gone, her hair has stopped coming out and is, in fact, growing back and the itching and scratching has stopped, as well as the ear infections. The key is this one ingredient; she had been bathed during all this time in other medicated shampoos, but she only got worse until my vet prescribed a shampoo with Ketoconazole. If you have an animal that scratches constantly, ask your vet for a culture to determine what drug is needed to treat the problem.

I don't know what happened to the product "Curaseb" but that product has disappeared off the Internet. THAT product was great and very effective. I bought Truseb because it was the only substitute I could find that looked similar and seemingly has the same active ingredients. The product is much more watered-down, the bottle feels very sticky in the hand, and it was hard to work into the fur without using a ton of product. The scent is not as nice as Curaseb either (it's not bad, but it's not as fresh-smelling on the shampooed dog after the hair has dried). I will look for a different product.

After doing some research on my poor baby's skin condition, I decided to skip the vet trip and try this shampoo along with putting him on a Raw diet. The results are amazing! His hair is growing back and he's happy now. And smells so much better! If you have a dog with similar issues please research what food you're feeding them and at least try a raw diet for a week or two! I didn't want to have the vet put him on prescriptions that I couldn't afford plus only treating the symptoms of a poor diet.I believe he developed a yeast infection on his back and in his ears due to corn/grain kibble so I have been focusing on changing his diet and using this shampoo. Apparently it helped!The shampoo lathers up decently and I let it sit on him for about 10 or more minutes then rinsed it off completely. I've only bathed him twice in two weeks and these are the results. Started the diet and this shampoo March 4th. Today is March 13th!Hes one of my little rescue pups and he's so super happy now!! 🐾

My dog has had acute allergies, severe yeast infections, greasy skin, lots of itching and a hideous smell for years. Prescription meds have been costly and offer little to no relief. I decided to try this and OMG it really works !!! Only 20 bucks and we are all so appreciative of this product !

This is my 3rd brand of chlorhexidine shampoo. I finally ran out of my last one which I absolutely love. I wanted to try something new and more affordable with good ratings. I use this for my dog because she has a yeasty skin type. This brand didn't even last a day. I can wash her with my old and she wouldn't smell again for 1.5-2 weeks. My dog is basically an inside dog since she's an old lady but she immediately smelled 24 hours later. I gave her a bath again because I understand there are some shampoos you need to use frequently. It didn't matter. I'm returning it and getting my old chlorhexidine.

My dog Levi had a raging yeast infection on his entire underside due to allergies from food, after figuring out his allergy and switching food his skin turned thick, dry and black (elephant skin) I used this twice a week for 4 weeks and then once a week for 4 weeks and his skin is 100% back to normal. It lathers extremely well, the scent is pleasant, I would wet Levi down, soap him up real good and set a timer for 10 minutes before rinsing. Easy-peasy. I tried a chlorahexadine shampoo by itself before this and was not happy with the results, there were immediate results with this shampoo even after the first use. I will recommend this to everyone with a similar issue.

My Weimaraner for an infection on all paws in between his toes. They looked so bad. The vet sent him abx and a spray. Also recommended baths with an antibacterial dog shampoo. I decided on this one instead of spending $25 for what she was selling. I have washed my weims and all dogs with this and I can believe how good their coat looked with just one wash. And it smells so clean! Washed his paws several times and I really notice he’s getting better. Definitely not licking or bitting them anymore. Not even abx we’re working before.
