Label it, love it! 🏷️
The Leitz 70150025 Icon Intelligent Continuous Plastic Label Cartridge is a 12 mm wide, 10 m long cartridge designed for use with the Leitz Icon Label Printer. It features a permanent adhesive, an intelligent cartridge system for easy tracking, and is made from recycled materials, making it a durable and eco-friendly choice for all your labeling needs.

A non-adhesive paper stock for the Icon Label Printer, too thin for 'card'
A continuous strip of thick paper for the Icon Label Printer and one of a few selected widths of this substrate; the adhesive materials are much thinner even with their substrates. As the printer uses a thermal printing system, a thicker card may not be technically feasible. The material could be ideally sized for the printing of personal business cards (normally 85 x 55mm) if it were thicker but will suit many other uses. However, it should be noted that the 'card' is little more than 100-110gsm cartridge paper and quite unsuited for presentation purposes or any role that would demand more than occasional handling. It will be ideal for use for inserts into lever arch files and other such office filing systems and also into keyring tags or anything comparable with a see-through window (plant pot labels, perhaps), although you will need to constrain the working size to fit. It has just enough stiffness to be reasonably easy to slip into the pockets of office files etc.The card is not adhesive, unlike most of the other Icon labels types and so can be used for many needs in the home or office. The substrate is quite unsuited to uses such as price tags, unless as an insert into some type of holder or if attached to a stiff backing. The card is quite white although not strictly bright white; it is supposedly made primarily from recycled material which explains is mild grey tint.

Not all label cartridges are the same!
These "white" cartridges are not recognised by the printer. The cartridges I got with my Leitz Icon printer from new have worked faultlessly - various sizes colours and material (plastic and paper labels). However, when it came to re-ordering labels both Amazon and another seller online sent these white (see photo) coloured cartridges rather than the brown ones shown in the product details on this page, and the printer sits there with a flashing blue light when installed. I can't find a reason why this is happening - none of the suggestions from Leitz's FAQ have helped. I know that this printer keeps track of the length of label roll it has printed on per cartridge because I have removed the green plastic feeder from the old empty cartridge and attached it to one of these "new" white roll cartridges. The printer will recognise the frankenstein cartridge but it shows the cartridge as being empty (despite having a full roll) - this is due to a small chip embedded into the plastic that the printer recognises. Consequently even trying to fool the printer into recognising a "white" cartridge gets you nowhere as the printer will not print to what it thinks is an empty cartridge.I love the printer - best available at this price point, but the newer label rolls are utterly crap! This printer is now unusable.Edit: ... and yes the printer has the latest update to the firmware as advised by Leitz.

Good quality; for use only in Icon Label Printer
This is one of the mid-sized continuous paper label cartridges for the Icon Label Printer, which I intend to use as a successor to other label printers previously used. The system is one of the easiest to load and its labels reliably aligned every time.Although a continuous strip, the printer's software allows a wide range of sizes to be used, from a centimetre or two up to 6 feet (approx 1.8m) in length. The paper substrate is of good thickness and not unduly translucent and so could cover up an older label if required. The cartridge is part of an 'Intelligent' system with a small chip incorpoarted into the green flap seen. The paper shell is recyclable when empty.

The white ones work!
Having read a couple of other reports that the white ones don't work, I was a bit worried. But I did a bit of research to see that legit label refills from Leitz are indeed now supplied in white. I can confirm that the white one that I received from Amazon and this supplier DOES indeed work on my Icon printer.Perhaps others had suffered from a faulty batch?

Excellent labels for what must be the best label printer out there...
It is very difficult to review these labels without waxing lyrical about the wonderful Leitz Icon label printer. The label cassettes just drop in making it easy to change the cassettes.I like the fact that there is minimal plastic with most of the case being a recycled cardboard. The labels are cut to size, which I think makes the cassette last longer. The labels stick well to paper, but I do find that they come away from plastic surfaces. However for their intended use as stationary labels and address labels they are hard to beat.

Easy to install but cannot see when the roll is ...
Arrived on time. Easy to install but cannot see when the roll is empty as cover is made of cardboard. Can only go on weight of cartridge. Labels are quite sticky but not sure how they will be if wet - ok on envelopes but not to secure on boxes as could be pealed off easily.

Superb Label Printing system
Superb Label Printing system, these might appear expensive - and they are - however, comparing it to what at first glance appear to be much cheaper Dymo labels they are not at all expensive. This versatile, portable, WiFi printer obviously can't be used without its stationary and these label cassettes come in a variety of sizes to fit most occasions. And a couple of different materials too.Do look around for the prices though - they vary a lot!

Leitz Icon Label Cartridge
Lietz Icon label cartridge. As you might expect, it works very well with the Leitz Icon Label printer and produces good quality labels. As it is a continuous feed the size (length, not width) can be customised to suit your purpose.
