I was surprised and pleased with how this MorTime Pool Float Chair looked after I got it inflated. It is bigger than I thought and is said to be able to hold up to 200 lbs safely. The reason I was surprised was because I couldn’t see from the description photos that there is mesh material attached to the overhead canopy in the back. (I hadn’t noticed this in the description before I ordered it.) I like that it adds some shielding from the bugs. And I really like that the canopy is made with UPF50+ sun protection.There are three openings on the float that are used for inflating it: on the back rest, on one arm by the cup holder and in the front middle seating section. That way it is easier to inflate. I noticed that there is also a vinyl plastic repair kit, in case of a puncture in the float. Unfortunately, only one comes with it, and the patch is only about 2-1/2” x 2-1/2”. The pool float plastic material seems to be pretty standard quality, compared to others I’ve had, so the patch may never be needed.Finally, I was quite pleased to find that the two cup holders are made in such a way as to keep a tumbler or a can securely in place. The diameter of the cup holders is 3” and the depth is 4”. They also both have clear baffles inside to keep the beverage container from moving around—at all! That is something I have never seen before.All in all, I am pretty impressed with this MorTime Pool Float Chair, and I would definitely recommend it!

The MorTime pool float chair is a great idea, well executed, for people who like to spend a lot of time in the pool, but not a lot of time in the sun. It's one integrated unit, with an area to sit, or float in, a shade, and handy cup holders.While you can kind of wrap it around yourself like a "doughnut" float, I imagine I will spend the vast majority of time sitting on the float, so that the shade provides my head with sun protection. The thin, inflatable, "seat" portion of the float sits with your bottom below the water surface to keep you cool, stationary, and relaxed. I like how the float has not just one, but two cup holders on either side. This is great for both right and left handers, and the double-fisting crowd!The shade is classified as an "Adjustable Canopy" - its basically a shade that hooks onto the float with UPF50 sun protection. The mesh behind the canopy is breathable. You can slide it back, or remove it from the hooks, if you want more sun.The only knock I have on this float so far is that it needs to be inflated in multiple different places, and the inflation nozzles do have a tendency to pop open at first. It took me a couple of tries to make sure I secured the nozzle caps so air doesn't come out. I think I've got the issue handled now, but will update this review if it is a recurring problem.

This really is a perfect pool float. It was easy to inflate, it has cup holders and it has a retractable/ removable sun shade. Summer days in the pool can really get hot and this sun shade is the perfect solution to keep you safe from the damaging rays of the sun and allow you to enjoy the water. This would make a great gift. Plus it is easy to store.

This is a nice float for the pool. I especially like the sun shade. It's easy to use and will hopefully provide hours of relaxation while in the pool this summer. My only real issue is that I was hoping for a stronger material in general that it would be made out of. It feels more like something you may buy at a large box store that would only last a day or so. I'm really hoping that I'm wrong on this and that it will last longer. I hate buying these types of things and they only last for a short period of time before they start leaking.

I wasn't expecting anything of great quality when I ordered this, but I was pleasantly surprised when I unboxed it the other day and got it into the pool. It's been used three days in a row by large adults and a bunch of rambunctious kids and it's holding up quite well. The vinyl feels sturdy enough for pool use, the canopy provides excellent protection from the sun. The colors are vibrant and look great, everything was easy to assemble and it's hilarious watching a gust of wind send the nieces and nephews flying across the pool since the canopy acts as an excellent sail.Easy to inflate, floats well, comfortable to lounge in (provided you don't overinflate the headrest.
