Great quality for the price
This is a great steel. I purchased the factory second because of the price, I can find nothing wrong with it. I actually purchased two of them. One is for me, I’m open baking bread and English muffins. The second one is for my brother, he will bake pizza in his.I seasoned both, very lightly, with a little bacon fat. I have kept mine in the oven for 3 weeks now, I could not be happier. Seems like it will last for a long time, it is very heavy. The crust on my bread could not be better.

Perfect condition for a 2nd!
Looks and feels brand new and certainly does the job. I bake large loafs of sourdough on this beast and they are perfectly browned, cooked thoroughly without worry and will be trying pizza this Memorial weekend. No hesitations on buying this, as a bonus that I can leave it in the oven. I had a pizza stone that cracked and cost more and you certainly can't crack this.

10/10! If you are looking to up your homemade pizza game, look no further! This cooking steel will give your crust a well cooked and beautiful undercarriage. The size is great and fits PERFECTLY on the oven racks. Quite a bit of weight to it compared to a pizza stone but to be expected. Also compared to pizza stones, this thing is very durable and can take the high temperatures needed for making pizza, no having to worry about it cracking or breaking due to high heat. Very easy to clean, I can’t stress how amazing this product is if you make pizza at home a lot!

Works great
I have not found any marks or deformities that would justify this being labeled a 2nd. It's very heavy and holds the heat well. I think it is much better then a baking stone, it's also much easier to clean

The scratches are so minor!
The 'defects' are really very minor and are unnoticeable after a few uses. Does not effect usefulness at all. Helps to make my pizza SO crispy!

Good purchase
I decided to go with the steel rather than replace my broken stone. This one is thin and light enough for my wife to handle. I keep in in the oven all the time regardless of what I am doing. Bread and pizza go right on it. Bread in my Dutch oven's, too. It acts like the solid floor of a pizza oven. It's easy enough to take out to clean when necessary.
