These used to be in capsules and were labeled as pure magnesium glycinate. I re-ordered months later and they are now tablets and relabeled as a combination of glycinate and oxide, which they don’t list the ratios of. I will be buying my Magnesium elsewhere from now on.

I am extremely disappointed. I was ecstatic to find an affordable source of Magnesium Glycinate from a seemingly trustworthy brand, but no longer. They have quietly switched out their formula to a proprietary blend (meaning they refuse to disclose the ratio of individual ingredients) containing the incredibly cheap laxative magnesium oxide. Magnesium oxide is not known to have many of the benefits magnesium glycinate confers as it passes right through you, hence the laxative effect. This supplement is no longer worth the label it's wrapped in and is potentially dangerous to unsuspecting consumers who believe they are reaping the benefits of bioavailable magnesium. Shame on Zhou Nutrition!

Changed the formula so that it's not chelated and includes magnesium oxide. Very disappointed they changed the product and are riding on the old positive reviews. I'll be insisting on a refund and buying something else.

I bought two bottles of this product when it was still pure magnesium glycinate. At that time it was the best magnesium supplement I'd ever used. Two Vcaps with great potency. I couldn't have been happier.Now this great supplement has been reformulated into a tablet that's been "buffered" (e.g. diluted) with low bio-availability magnesium oxide. I was ready to buy another two bottles, but not now. This reformulation is unacceptable to me.I would have gladly taken 3-4 Vcaps if necessary if it meant that the product maintained its formulation and the Vcap delivery system. Guess instead I'll be going back to my previous horse pills. Not what I want but Zhou Nutrition has let me and many other previously happy people down.

Ugh, I'm so angry. I used to use and love Zhou magnesium glycinate. But I hit reorder and what showed up is not the same. It's not capsules anymore and it totally doesn't work to prevent cramps. Then I looked, its not even pure magnesium glycinate anymore!

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! They switched the formulation from PURE, 100% glycinate to a mixture of glycinate and oxide but, even if asked, they will not reveal how much is oxide. AND they sell it for the same price!! It took forever to find a product that had 100% glycinate, and was thrilled when I found this one. I bought my 2nd bottle and after a couple days of getting diarrhea, looked at the label and saw they added oxide to the formula. It's very upsetting. I am not supposed to take oxide due to GI problems.ZHOU, PLEASE CHANGE BACK TO 100% GLYCINATE!!

Zhou has completely changed their formulation, do not buy! I clicked on my old order link to purchase these and had no idea that I was ordering a completely different and substandard formulation. If only I had read the most recent reviews! These Mg supplements previously were capsules and you only had to take 1 and they were only Magnesium Glycinate. Now they are huge horse pills, and you have to take 2 to get 450 mg AND they contain a non-specified amount of Magnesium Oxide which is a junk form of Mg.Believe the recent one-star reviews and find another company to purchase your Mg. I reported this to Amazon and they are allowing me to return two bottles for a full refund.

Amazon really should stop companies from this bait and switch tactic. This manufacturer used to make pure magnesium glycinate, but has now replaced a significant portion with magnesium oxide. They lowered the quality of their product once they had good ratings hoping people would not notice.
