Thick lead so it won't break easily
I won't be using this lead for woodworking, but am using it in a mechanical pencil for drawing and writing calligraphy.It writes smooth and dark which was what I was looking for. There are 36 lead refills so they will certainly last a long time even with a rough hand.

Sturdy pencil lead
As a rookie DIYer, I need to mark clearly where I drill/cut, so I don't make a mistake. I used it on hardwood floor and painted walls for my recent projects and it worked perfect as it should. I dropped it once by mistake, but it held it together. 36 pieces will last you quiet a while too.
