Make Fantastic cards.
Brought this after seeing it demonstrated on You Tube. The price is less than half of all other sites, does all they said and more. Brilliant additions to cards.

Excellent as a stamp positioner
Base plate chipped after second use. Excellent as a stamp positioner, but not as its intended purpose as a letterpress. Amazon were great and refunded my purchase. Just a shame, as concept is brilliant.

great letterpress and stamp positioner, needs shim to protect top when used in a big shot machine
i bought is second hand as new, it has been used, a hinge fell off when i first examined it, i took the metal bar off and superglued it back on its working fine now.i suggest when using it in the big shot put a thin shim (less than 1mm) over the perspex on top, i use a clear one so i can see my work. this is because the big shot has about four ridges on the top roller bar and has caused some minor damage to the thick but brittle perspex on top of the letterpress, hopefully using a thin plastic shim ontop will prevent any further damage.i chose this product above others because it allows me to letter press and use it as a stamp positioner, i needed a stamp positioner to use precise stamps that require lining up perfectly to work.So i really like this product just keep in mind when perspex goes through any high pressure, it will fracture, it can't be helped, i have had other perspex sheeting meant for a specific die cutter shatter, not the big shot another well known brand.

Excelente producto, me encanta que puedes escoger la presión de la maquina! Es pequeña y muy versátil, no le pide nada a otras maquinas similares

Great Machine! Hear me out!!
So here's the deal: I loved this machine. But I am going to write my review from both perspectives of dislike and like.To start, you have to keep in mind that letterpress is a complex printing technique, so for it to be replaced by a platform and a stencil press is a big feat. With that in mind, I'd say it does a great job. I posted photos to show what I was able to accomplish with this (don't mind my hand, hiding some personal information. Lol!) I used L platform on the Bigshot, and I ran it through the press 280 times!! My invites were 5 x 7 and 220 lb letra, pretty big on the platform and thick on the platform, and had three layers (one un-inked). As my photo indicates, I did eventually get a crack on the top of the platform ... HOWEVER ... This is because after I was done with three layers of my invites (210 runs) I decided to quickly do one extra and quickly put a plate on, with the backing of the adhesive of the plate (if that makes sense) and I think this added an extra layer and it was just too much pressure for the press. BUT, I knew better. It felt harder than usual going through and finally it cracked. But this was me not being careful, and I did add ANOTHER layer to my already thick invites but not removing the adhesive protector of my plate. But after this, I was able to print 70 more detail cards without it affecting the platform. The crack was an internal crack and nothing external happened. As a reviewer showed, the base doesn't fit well into this one section. It fits but you have to push it down hard and then I taped down all four corners with scotch tape. This prevents any warping but also might prevent any cracks.Overall, is this perfect? No. Is it a great letterpress replacement if you can't get your hands on a traditional machine or you don't have the money to get this professionally done? Yes! I am immensely happy with what I was able to print with this machine. I am here to say that beautiful printing with this machine is possible. You just have to be patient, and smart about it. I was very careful (until I cracked the plate; got comfortable I guess). I examined my L platform to adjust it, and I did a lot of research. If you google L platform, there are a few blogs on this; mostly from Boxcar Press. This gives you everything you need to print well. I think printing with ANYTHING the L letterpress provides you, like the brayer, ink and plates is in fact asking for horrible prints and broken plates and platforms. Their plates are just too hard (in a stiff bad way, not in a durable way like Boxcar plates) that it breaks. But there are blogs out there that show you how to use this machine from technique, paper and modifying the machine (taping it haha).I was scared to use this machine for a while because it got such bad reviews and I'm not a lucky person. I thought (great, this is going to break on me mid invite and I'll be out all this time and money.) but nope. Was able to get 70 invites and detail cards printed successfully!I recommend this for sure. Just be careful. If you feel it is hard to run your platform through your chosen machine ... Don't force it!! Do research, and take be patient! :)

I like this item and I think it's really good for ...
I like this item and I think it's really good for using my clear stamps as well. Haven't used it for letter pressing yet. The only minor issue is that the grids on the top side and the one on the base are not properly aligned. You can compensate, but I think it should have been properly made if customers are paying for a well made product. Overall satisfied and will update when I use it to letterpress.

Disappointed!
So disappointed. I received this today and started doing some test cards that came in the pack, using the plate in the pack, card stock and paints all from the kit. I followed the instructions and on the 3rd card (all the same), the platform cracked and shattered. Now I have a broken letterpress platform and broken plates. I have been using letterpress for a number of years and in my opinion this is not a good quality product.Update: I contacted the Amazon chat service and was instantly given a replacement item, service was wonderful. Thank you Minaz at Amazon

5 stars as a stamp positioner, 0 stars as delivered as a letter press. Base plate isn't sized correctly, and it will shatter.
Used for it's intended purpose and this would get 0 stars, I read many reviews mentioning shattered plates... as soon as it arrived I inspected it and the base plate should fit full into the recess in the base, mine does not. It's cut just a tiny bit too long and too wide... so if you have one corner flush the other 3 are raised up. The uneven pressure that would result if rolling it through a machine would definitely cause it to shatter/break. I'm not even going to attempt to use it as it arrived as basic physics tells me this would happen. I would request an exchange but Amazon doesn't appear to even be selling these directly anymore (ordered mine 2 days ago, said there were 3 left), WeRMemoryKeepers site is down, though I have an email in to them. I might try carefully sanding down the plate myself. That said, I bought this to use as a more affordable and larger version of a very popular (and crazy overpriced) stamping positioner. For that you don't need to use the base plate, so it not fitting doesn't really matter to me. It works PERFECTLY as a stamp positioner. The recess even allows you to add a Little B perfect positioner or to cut down a thin sheet of magnetic material to hold your card base in place. The large size means I can stamp a card open or use a larger 5x7 card. The hinge is also floating, so unlike when trying to use a modified clear CD case you don't have uneven pressure. I'm thrilled with my choice in using it as a positioner, and highly recommend it for that. If I can get a replacement correctly sized base plate, or manage to sand it down myself, I'll report back as to how it works as a letterpress.
