Game-changer!!!
I bought this system for my daughters, twins who were 6 and their sister who was 7. This has been a game-changer for us! I'm a single mom who's also a teacher, so I don't have a lot of time. On top of that, organization is probably number one on my list of things that I am horrible at, so trying to teach my girls how to pick up after themselves is next to impossible. With this system, our house is looking a lot neater on a regular basis, there's a lot less nagging on my part, and the girls are earning their own spending money while still developing a sense of responsibility as members of the household! It's a win-win all the way around! Here's how it works:You set up the chore chart in a configuration that works for you. You can set it up to show the chores that need to be completed each day for a week at a time, or do daily chores organized by morning, afternoon, and evening, or you can set it up by category (personal responsibilities and household responsibilities), or some combination thereof. For us, each child has a morning, afternoon, and evening pocket where I put the cards for things like "brush hair," "make your bed," "do your homework," "put away dirty clothes," etc. Then I have a pocket that I use for daily responsibilities (feed the cats, empty the dishwasher, etc.) and a pocket for "to be completed by the weekend" responsibilities, such as dusting, refill the soap dispensers, clean your room, etc. Each child has their own row of cards, and the personal responsibility cards are color specific to each child. The "household responsibility" cards are teal, and they can be divided up among the kids. It works well to lay out all the chores you want the kids to do and each one pick what they will be responsible for. They are much more likely to do it on their own without nagging if they pick it themselves! On each card, you can check at the bottom if it is a responsibility card, meaning something they need to do as a contributing member of the family, or if it is a job they can get paid tickets for. The pen that comes with the set is erasable, so you can adjust them as they get older. There is also a place to add extra information to each card. For example, on the one that says "empty the dishwasher" I have added in "don't forget the drying mat!", and on the one that says "extra reading" I have written in "15 minutes". As they get older, I can erase and change what I've written and can add more complicated chores. When each job gets completed, they can place the finished card behind their name or in a pocket you label "done." At the end of the day, you give them ticket cards for each job they get "paid" for. The ticket cards come in ones, fives, and tens. Then at the end of the week (or whenever your set time is) they can redeem the tickets for actual money, or screen time, or special items in a "family store", or whatever other creative rewards you want them to have. The best part about this is that the kids are learning that some things around the house have to be done because you're part of the family and you work together to keep up the home. But they also have a way to earn and budget money. (I am not a fan of allowance, because then they can grow up thinking that they money will always be coming even if they don't work for it.)I love the variety of cards that are offered as well. Obviously a lot of time and thought has been put into this system, because there are cards for most everything. There are also some blank cards and labels included if you need to add something specific to your family. So in short, I HIGHLY recommend this system. It works so well, it is adaptable to children ages preschool to teenager, and it's even great for grownups trying to keep up with all the household chores! In fact, I'm planning on expanding mine to include a row of chores for me to do. (Did I mention that I'm NOT an organized or neat person?!) I've been using it for a little over a month by this point, so it's still a bit of a novelty, and with it being summer vacation our daily routine is a lot more relaxed than during the school year. Later on I'll try to update this post to report how it goes during our hectic months. But from what I've seen so far, it's worth every penny!

Absolute game changer in our home
This has proven to be an incredibly valuable resource in our home. I have 4 kiddos. My oldest is 15 and he doesn't care for it and has remained on an allowance system, but he also is our go to for random outside chores and watching siblings all the time. My 11yo has been learning how to 100% complete a job. She was just getting an allowance but would never complete a chore. Now, there is an accountability in place. I can pull the chore card and verify she did it. She also is learning to work for her pay or items in the home store instead of just blowing through her money like crazy. My 7yo has hated the system because he doesn't want to work and keeps asking when is the chore chart going to be over. But now when he goes into a store and begs for a toy I can ask him "how many tickets do you have saved up at home" and that squashes the begging for the most part. He will earn 10 tickets and spend them nearly immediately in the home store. My 5yo is my saver. He sees the 40 tickets lego set and is saving up for it. We have some dollar store items for 4 tickets or little candies they can pick from too. We have some quality time ones but right now that has not been a highly desired option because they already each get quality time in some way. This also showed me the chores my older two were doing while my younger two were only responsible for their rooms. My 5yo cleans the bathroom now and my 7yo changes out laundry. I am so glad we bought it.The down side is the cards may have been able to be a bit more durable...like hotel keys or something maybe? But, then it would more expensive and the slots on the hanging thing may not be able to hold them as well. But my lids are constantly going through them daily so Corners are getting curled. Maybe I will try some plastic sleeves like they use for Pokémon cards?Overall though, I love it and am grateful for the work ethic is is helping instill in our kiddos in such a hurried and entitled society.

A summer to remember!
I purchased the Neatlings chore chart in June. Excited to put it together and get my kids in the habit of summer chores that included household and personal responsibilities. My children are 11 and Neatlings has really thought of most chores. I like the space on the tickets so you can add your comments on a job...sometimes a reminder helps. As for the chore chart working itself and not micro"mom"aged I agree. I think the hardest part of this chore chart was for me and getting it set up just right for our family. Yes, that the great thing, mom (or dad) you choose your set up. I set mine up to fit our family needs. Our family store contained things important to tweens, including cell phone service, local travel (amusement parks), sleep overs and even a "tag-along" which worked great! Its nice to have season passes to local amusement parks or museums but if you don't have the tickets to get the reward simply "find a chore". I did BONUS chores, I added "MOMS choice" and DADS choice tickets at a whopping 7 points. I made a list of rules that helped my family. I would make little comments to the children such as, once the bathroom is clean its makes for easy points doing the same job tomorrow. IT WORKED. LOL Try it! Since school has started we are slacking a bit on the chores. I chalk it up to new at middle school but this week I am going to redo my chore chart.....because I CAN! I am going to try the chores by time of day for the winter. Hey if that doesn't work for the family I can redo it yet again. The chore chart is super easy to reconfigure. I cant thank Neatlings enough for tackling this job. Parents it really works! Kids on their electronics too much...make them earn it. I liked that they had to earn ALL screen time. Guess what? I didn't mind the earned screen time because that saved me CASH too! Not only do they feel good about earning things they want but hey my kids learned to do their laundry (I used this job as a higher point value since I wrote in folding and putting away)! You know what they say... If mommas happy....:-)

Fantastic for kids on the spectrum
Great incentive for my kids and very helpful in teaching them to be more proactive when it comes to self care. This is especially useful for my son who is autistic as he is clearly abke to see what self care tasks he needs to do each day. I love how I can use it with all my kids and also add jobs when I need to. Compete game changer in our house!
