Definitely NOT for small children. These are real garden tools with handle lengths short enough for a child to use. The blades are sharp so remember who you're buying for.

The best thing about this garden tool set is the price. The handles are a little small and are made of a plastic that provides no grip. Not only were the handles slippery but they are a little uncomfortable for me to hold. My wife (with smaller hands) said they are not bad for her. They do however seem sturdy and with good care should last a long time. The reason for the 4 stars is the price. I have purchased many garden tools and finding these for tools of a higher quality will cost a good bit more. Bottom line if you are looking for tools to use in a small garden and don't expect to be using them for several hours they should be just fine. If you will be using them for a good amount of time or just want something that has a soft/comfortable grip, spend more money and get a better set. I picked these up at a discount for a review.

They looked and felt great but I was never able to use. TSA didn't like them in my bag and took them. I should have thought this out better.

Good stuff

I was recently given the opportunity to buy this tool set for review. I opened the box and they disappeared. It turns out that my husband grabbed them thinking I bought them for him and he liked them so I’ll include his thoughts… The pruning shears were great for cutting small roots that were in the way when he was planting the fall mums. They were very easy to grip and didn’t take a lot of effort to close. The shovels (and I’m fairly certain that nothing is called a shovel) were nicely balanced and didn’t bend when planting or moving small amounts of mulch. He also used the little fork thing (the hoe) to scrape mulch out of the way so he could plant the mums. We bought several mums. My thoughts on the tools were similar. These tools were light and well balanced, they didn’t bend and were easy to use. I would recommend these to anyone looking for handheld planting tools to keep in the garage.
