Zakate Cute Tumbler Egg Shape Envelope Letter Opener Pack of 3 (Black)

I originally gave this a 3/5 stars. Coincidentally enough, the day I rated this little opener, is the day that it just made sense on how to use it and have since bumped up my rating to 5/5. First, grip the egg such that the *thin part* is in your palm, not the wider part, and that the slit is facing out. Grab your target envelope and insert the *bottom* corner edge that you want to start cutting into the *top*, wider part of the egg. Push *away* from you, quickly and firmly. Now that I understand it, it works near effortlessly and can cut through the corner edges, something it can't do when pulling down. I created a lot of mangled envelope corners while I figured this one out. The images posted on the webpage on how to use it should *not* be followed. Perhaps the seller could test this out and update the instructions here to ensure a better customer experience with the product. I would have liked the option to buy just one, but acknowledge it may be cost prohibitive for the distributor. I also do find that its egg shape makes me nostalgic for weeble-wobbles when it tries to right itself on my desk.

These work well. It is confusing to figure out. Mostly, for me, the little "directions" kind of embossed on the side seem backwards. Gets me every time. I'm thinking I'll eventually remember. It has a little picture of an envelope and a triangle to indicate the direction of the swipe. When you do it right it's awesome. Four stars because it is completely egg shaped and rolls around like an egg. I should have paid more attention. I guess I was thinking there would be a flat end. So it's not great for a desktop, but it is comfy in your hand and easy to find in a drawer 👍🏻.

Ultra cute, so I bought two. This is how we get things we don't need!Well, it's not easy to open envelopes with this because of the small size. It's good for a child's hands, but not adults.It's just way to small to be effective in an office. Thanks. I would not buy or recommend. It takes more than one swipe to open a letter. Gave them away.

This cutter is a little weird to use at first but I think I've gotten the hang of it. Although, I tend to skip the last half inch of the envelope - guess its the way i'm holding it.

Can't open the mail without it! And because I bought a 3-pk, I can stash them in a few useful spots so they are readily available. My cat even enjoys batting it around!

It definitely is the cutest letter opener. And I bought it at a good price for 3 of them. I also liked that it's not obvious what it is, because I was replacing a letter opener someone borrowed and never returned. I have average size female hands, I didn't find it too small to manage as another reviewer mentioned. The only downside is that it doesn't do the one function it's supposed to. It's difficult to open envelopes - you need to carefully line the egg and envelope up just right in order to get it to catch and open cleanly. Most times I wound up making several tries, and in the end mangling the envelope. Today I'm back on Amazon to purchase a different letter opener. When I need to replace an item I've had for about a week, 1 star is a no-brainer.

It is ok. it works as a envelop opener.But not for origami. the cut is not straight.

Sometimes you have to swipe it a 2nd time to open the letter, not a big deal. very cute.
