Bestpresso Ground Coffee (Italian Roast, 12 Ounce (Pack of 3))

I crave the strongest coffee available. I'd make espresso in a machine if i could afford the machine. I take the finest turkish kind of grind and make greek coffee every morning, and the taste is never strong enough. I'll even drink the super cheep espresso junk available. Doesn't taste great but it still tastes like coffee. So when i saw the words "extra dark roast" i thought i'd come to the right place. And the price was an additional part of the seduction.However, the caffeine content is way way crazy up there. I took three sips and went into a hyper state. People who know coffee know that the darker the roast the less the caffeine. People who don't know think it has more caffeine because of the strong taste. Therefore, extra dark should deliver less of a jolt. I can only imagine that this company is adding caffeine or some other additive that i might be allergic to. To boot, the taste is ghastly which I can't complain about as that is subjective, but the super jolt effect - can't use it. And i drink really strongly made coffee daily. Love the caffeine but this stuff - fuggedaboudit, as we say in Brooklyn, which is where this coffee comes from, co-incidentally. I will give the other bags to someone else with a strong caveat. Maybe they can tolerate it. Too bad. Nice graphics. Great price.PS - The grind is coarse. Nothing espresso or turkish about it.

Let me preface this by saying I drink coffee, I drink a lot of coffee, I’ve been drinking coffee for over 50 years. This is the worst coffee I’ve ever drank, it taste like burnt toast. In fact it taste worse than burnt toast. Do not buy this coffee unless of course you like the flavor of burnt toast.

I subscribed to this to save from going to the store for just coffee since that is what we always seem to run out of. Not bad...I put so much creamer in mine, it's hard for me to tell quality. But as with MOST subscribe and save items, it went up over 25% the next order. I think they do that on purpose...the first time you order a S&S, the price is great. Then the next month, it's always much more expensive. And I've been doing S&S for a long time, it's a trend. A "well prices sometimes go up" excuse doesn't' cut it. They certainly shouldn't jump for everything you subscribe to! Then when you cancel the S&S and a week later look at the item again and the price is back down. Something is fishy overall.

Always nervous trying new coffee, but what we normally use was out of stock so we thought we'd give this a try, particularly because the price was right! Two sips in and my husband and I both LOVE it. This will be our new usual. Love it! Glad we gave it a shot!

First bait word - Italian..First bait image - colours/packaging. I was searching for affordable coffee and $9+ to $11 current costs... Not affordable at all. So I bit hook,line,and sinker when I came across 'image' and 'Italian' visuals,plus cost for the 3pk seller. For that whole buy package I didn't have to check further. Big mistake. Got the stuff.. produce of SPAIN! Packed for a Brooklyn outfit. There are Lots of Italians in Brooklyn..This coffee NOT. Coffee fresh?yeah. But I am not giving any ratings that this coffee pro'bly deserved. The fact that the blatant come-on was there ruined everything for me. Coffee itself ought to please others, go right ahead. Just know its origins. In fairness the package described...Italian Roast. No quarrels there. My haste and carelessness dropped me in the puddle. No return. Lesson learned.

The coffee flavor was well overcome by what I can only assume was chicory. Who knows?? Made 1 pot, drank 2 swallows and threw out all three bags. Unfortunately, no return available. In my opinion, a very low quality product and proof of the adage- "You get what you pay for..."

If you want something that taste somewhat like ground Maxwell House or Folgers ground coffee then this is for you but if you like the taste of premium ground beans or whole beans then I'd advise you to look elsewhere for coffee. I was disappointed after reading the advertisement for this coffee and then tasting the real thing. I make coffee pretty strong and did so with this brand but it wasn't very strong tasting and had an 'off taste' that I couldn't put my finger on but wasn't as good as any ground beans I've tasted.... kind of a stale taste to me...... I won't be buying this brand again but it may be good for others.....

It taste good and it's a good value but I'm disappointed as I specifically intended to purchase espresso ground beans - these are regular course ground for a drip pot, no fine espresso ground for an espresso machine
