This dress is awesome and exactly what you'd expect though the price is a little high. I am 5'8" and 230lbs and ordered the X-Large. Fits around my waist and is the perfect length. The shirt is a good size as well. The material is rough but not irritating and seems to be durable. I bought a wide belt to use with this dress and it works well. I already had a corset that also works well with it. See you at the Ren Faire!***Update!***THIS COSTUME WAS AMAZEBALLZ!!!! Myself and my friend were walking though the faire when one of the swordswomen from the tournament walked by and complemented our clothing!!!! We were totally blown away and fangirling!!! So awesome!!! The material was comfortable even if a little heavy for the heat of the day and did not get scratchy.

I was nervous about buying this without trying it on first, but after reading other reviews I went for it and I'm glad that I did! I LOVE it!I ordered a large and the fit is just about perfect. The waist could be a tad smaller, but that's really only when I hike it up for the belt/corset, (which I think it makes it look better, also ordered on amazon-I ordered an XL belt). The belt keeps the skirt in place when hiked up. I'm 5'4 about 195lbs.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this costume. I ordered this two piece (shirt is a stand alone piece, skirt is an elastic waist that has both skirts sewn together) for a costume party. I do not like the cheap prepackaged costumes that are sold at most places. The sizing is always off and they are never long enough. And lets not talk about the horrible quality. So I was elated when I received this costume as the pieces are of great quality and weight.As a plus size (size 18) tall (5 foot 11) woman I'm always hesitant to buy something without trying it on but this was perfect on all levels. I ordered the 2XL size. The skirt was plenty long which is usually a problem (fit me just like the photo). The top is more fitted in the breast area for me as I am large busted. Even with that the fit was still spot on and not tight. I like that the stop is slightly wide so you can wear it off shoulder or just let it lay and it still give a boat neck look.I'm looking forward to using this for future costumes. The shirt will work with many costume ideas. As for the skirt, the colored fabric can easily be tucked in so I can have an all black skirt for other looks. So glad I made this purchase! If you're on the fence about purchasing, BUY IT!

Excellent fit! I'm 5'3 and wore it with ballet flats and a pettiskirt to even out the length and an obi belt. The sleeves were quite long and the string to cinch them was a bit flimsy- I should have just sewn some little hooks or buttons inside. Very comfortable dress and well made- not flimsy material at all and has a nice draping weight. There was a similar dress I also bought and this one is far better material and design.

I ordered the green/brown dress in XXL after reading the reviews. NOPE. I am 5’10” & weigh 210 lbs. I normally wear a size 16/38” bust, 35” waist, 40” butt. (Yes, I’ve got a bootie), so I thought I’d better get the larger size. Turned out, I only needed to get the size I would normally get: XL fit me PERFECTLY. This is not one of those cheapie costumes! The fabric is heavy & has finished edges, too! I LOVE THE TOP! I bought the belt separately in XL as well.

Skirt arrived pretty quickly, looks just as pictured - forest green over a black full skirt (not sure why, but I saw it as green on green when I shopped. This will work for my purpose, tho!). Elastic band fits comfortably at my waist. Size medium was the right choice, I typically wear size 4 pants / skirts. I plan to gather the top skirt in a bustle for a Victorian event, and there’s a good amount of fabric to play with.Blouse fits well, I like the elastic smocking detail and the sleeves are flowy and fun. Both pieces make pretty versatile costume pieces.

The material is nicer than I expected for the cost of a full, two-piece costume. The skirt is somewhat more plastic feeling than I was hoping, but I can't quite find affordable cotton or wool lol. This looks 100% like the pics, the brown skirt is slightly lighter than expected, but no issues for me. The shirt is awesome, huge bell sleeves, the material is actually quite soft and comfy. Will update after Halloween with more detail and pics!Side note: I was slightly concerned about the top/bosom size, as I am much smaller in the chest than the pics in other reviews, but the top works with what you got! (Cup size is between B & C)

I bought this for a Halloween Office Party and received tons of compliments! I’m 5’2 and plus size, bra size 38 DDD and the fit of this costume was very flattering. I ordered an extra large because I’m used to having to order a size up, but I still had plenty of room, so I easily could have fit into a large. I did end up wearing a tulle petticoat under the skirt, but it did have a natural bit of “fluff” to it, so it was not completely flat. The top and skirt are 2 separate pieces & I chose to wear the shirt tucked in with the “corset-type” belt on top (purchased separately & it totally changed the look!) If it was socially acceptable, I’d wear this outfit all the time!
