Review after one year.
After one year of mild use (two times a week as my edc bag), my summary is that you get what you pay for.Bag is cheap. Material is thin and already showing signs of wear and tear. The primary strap is already slightly ripping where it connects on the top. Surpring, since I never had that much stuff in there in the first place. Mostly a laptop and lunch. Also it barely fit a laptop and lunch. Water bottle holder is tight (can barely fit a 32oz Gatorade bottle). It doesn't look small, but the main pocket holds much less than you think. It's my gym bag now bc it can barely hold my shoes and one rolled up tee shirt. Having the extra compartments do help, but I can't imagine how much faster the bag would have degraded with any more weight. I'm also an average built guy. It rides very low, around the lower back. Definitely won't look as cool and that's why this rating has lost one star, because it lost me one style point. With that out of the way, I'm glad I bought this bag. I was in the market for an Expedition which would have cost me over $150. Because I bought this bag for 30 bucks I realized that I do not need a single strap bag. I do not prefer a single strap bag and my lifestyle doesn't require it. This is the perfect entry-level, test product. If you have been using this style of bag before, or know for a fact that you'll be using a single strap bag, invest in something nicer.

Impractical and poor quality.
You buy a sling bag so you can grab your gear and go. You want something that's tough and convenient. But this bag fails in its intended purpose for 2 big reasons.1) Cheap construction. Right out of the box you will notice loose threads on the stitching and you can tell at a glance that it's poorly made. The plastic buckles are made of ultra-thin hard plastic that you can easily break just by squeezing them too hard with your finger. This bag won't survive many adventures. Too flimsy.2) Although it looks good in the pictures, in reality it's just a mess of unnecessary straps and little dangles. There's a lot of little hanging things on this bag which make it look messy and complicated. There's an extra strap you can use to secure it (aside from the sling itself) which if you decide not to use, just dangles off your back waiting to snag on anything you walk by. Makes you feel like you have to attach it, when all you want to do is sling it over your shoulder. I mean isn't that the point of a sling bag? Sling it and go, not have to attach extra straps and deal with all the things hanging off of it. Simplicity is what sling bags are about, and this one is far from simple.Basically it's just a pile of poorly constructed straps and strings. Messy looking and flimsy.

The bag was even better than I imagined
I have been commuting on the Seattle Ferry for 5 years with a heavy back pack. The constant motion of putting the back pack on multiple times a day injured my right shoulder. I thought a sling bag would help eliminate that motion and help recover. I looked at every store in my area and I could not find a sling that fit my needs. After hours of online research I finally found this bag. It's really hard to tell by the pictures just how big it was. As always, I read the reviews and found a video review. That helped big time and I decided to order it. The shipping was extremely fast. The bag was even better than I imagined. The material is solid and there are a ton of pockets. I was able to fit the entire contents of my back pack and have enough room for lunch and a drink. The bottle holder on the side was a mandatory factor in my decision. This one is large and holds my commuter mug securely. The ease of putting this bag on is definitely going to help my injured shoulder heal. After 2 weeks of commuting with this bag, I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this bag, especially if you are a commuter!

If you've been looking for a commuter bag or small hiking pack, stop here!
Bought this to take on my daily commute. One of the problems with similar bags were that they had no place to hold my coffee/water or if they did, they were too small. This has a larger than expected drink holder.Next was something that only would effect me. I carry a long wooden handled umbrella (what can I say, I live in Washington State and it rains). 99.99% of bags, backpacks or briefcases wouldn't have anything to accommodate an umbrella. This bag has straps on the obverse side from where the cup holder is, and it fits perfectly in there. Finally fit. It's not big, but it isn't designed or billed as big, and it holds a lot of stuff. If you're a commuter, or go on day hikes, or just have kids and need to store stuff on an outing, this is it. It is constructed well, seems to be, after a month, holding up like new. I'd buy it again and again in a heartbeat!

Highly recommend
I have been using this pack since may and would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a durable small/mediumish pack. I fill up my Camelbak 3l Antidote bladder (short version and long) and both fit well. I tied the provided cords together so that I could hook the short one and keep ot from colapsing. During the work week I take a couple of protein shakes along with an ipad mini but has foom to spare. I also use it when I walk my dogs and hook a colapsible water bowl on the molle. The camelbak tube has a quick disconnect so I am able fill my dogs water bowl on our long walks. I find the pack extremely versatile and comfortable. I unwrapped the drinking tube to show in pic.

Wonderful travel bag, but comes with an old, musky smell that is tough to get rid of!
I bought this bag for travel. It's small size, and many compartments fit my needs well. The sleeve which goes along your body takes a bit getting used to but works well otherwise. The only issue I've had with this bag is the smell. It has an old, musky like smell too it. The best I could describe it to would be similar to the smell of an old cardboard box; most likely this bag has been in storage for a while. I've washed the bag with water and the water came out slightly yellowish and the smell remained. I washed it down again with some dish soap and a sponge and that seems to have done the trick for the most part. I may just soak it in some strong soapy water later on to get the rest of the smell off.
