My old can opener failed to open some cans, skipping in several places. This was a replacement. I was thrilled with it at first because it opened the cans my old one did not. I found it skips on some cans too - different ones from the old can opener. So now I use both the old and new one to open my cans. Not optimal. I'm still looking for one manual can opener that will open all my cans.

Does get stuck and sometimes it's hard to get it going especially if there is a paper label in the way which shouldn't make that big of a difference but with these it does for some reason. Overall they do get the job done, but they are not very smooth. I've used much better ones in the past. In the future I will spend a little more to get something better.

Sometimes it has a bit of trouble when you twist it away from you, but if you twist in the other direction or pick it up and try again you can get it working.

My old other brand got hard to use. Dull cutter no doubt and a little rust. Figured it was time to replace. Have old house with limited electrical counter outlets so an electric opener was not practical. This one opens most cans easily even with my arthritis ( getting old is not a picnic) . Time will tell how it holds up but seems well constructed.

Jeez. How hard is it to invent a decent can opener? You'd think in 2020, we would have one by now. Humans have gone to the moon... put steel tubes in the sky.... performed organ transplants. But, we can't do can openers?? I'd like to see a list of Covid-19 compatible can openers. This isn't one of them. In fact, you're screwed if you have a pantry full of tins and then you buy this cheap fiend. How to drive you to the edge. Teetering and screaming and raging in your kitchen. This opener is for the birds... whose claws would be a better job at opening a damn can.A word of advice—spend a little more and get yourself a fancy electric opener. You'll thank me. Even my rusty opener that I bought this to replace does a better job. I never thought I'd hate an object this much... but here we are. Could I burn it in my sink in some kind of Covid sacrificial ritual?

This is very comfortable and glides right through a can

I gave it 3 stars because it did eventually open the can, but it took a lot of grinding and redoing. Not worth it.
