The way these are constructed, a plastic screw and washer are pushed through a suction cup with a hole poked through. Because of the hole and the plastic screw, you cannot push the suction cup down enough to form a seal. My dish kept falling off and crushing my dwarf hairgrass.Here is how I fixed it:-take out the screw and insert it through the dish backwards, tighten the nut-take a suction cup for airline tubing that is intact, trim off the excess bit of screw with pliers so the suction cup will rest flush with the glass dish-wrap Teflon tape around the screw until you get a nice snug fit for the suction cup-you should be able to press the suction cup firmly against the wall of your tank nowOverall I'm a little disappointed, 2/5. Improveme the build quality and it would be great, but unless you're willing to modify like I did, I can't recommend it.

I was a little hesitant to order as most of the reviews stated it doesnt stay put on the glass. I took a chance and I am not sure why its not sticking for them, but it worked out great for me. We have two tanks, one with snail/fish and the other with shrimp/fish and they both stick to the glass just fine. Infact I have to drag them carefully up to the top and use my finger nail to get it off so not to spill the old algae pellet food muck. Would definitely purchase again!

Got these for a couple Giant Day Geckos.I'm always worrying the glass is going to break, because the suction cups really don't work well, and one was so bent up that I can't even flatten it enough to get it to stick.But they clean up well, but don't do what I need.So if you don't need the suction aspect... They're fine. Maybe could get better suction cups and mod the bowls, but that defeats the purpose of buying them already on.

I received these dishes today, and although I was pleased with the sizes, the dishes looked like they were used. They were covered in scratches, and I'm not talking about small scratches, they were borderline gouges. There was also what appears to be almost like a silicone residue on the inside of the bowl. There are rough cut marks on the top of the dish, so I am a little uneasy using this for an axolotl because it is not smooth at all. I am definitely disappointed in this product, and am already looking for a replacement.

The suction on this is so strong sometimes it's a little difficult to remove but I'd rather that than have a non working suction. Shrimp seem to have figured it out fast enough and it keeps my tank so much cleaner.

I was excited to get these food dishes to help keep food waste down in my 10g tank. The small dish and suction has worked perfectly so far, but the large has never fully made contact to the glass and falls after a few minutes usually. Today after trying to use it for a few days in a row the suction cup broke off the large dish. A bit disappointing but I can leave it at the bottom of the tank for snails

Thes dishes are pretty. It was delivered carefully. But they are heavy and they sag a bit. It doesn’t affect their usability, but if you are OCD like me, it may irritate you, so I took a star.

They were cheap so thankfully my expectations were low. They came within a decent time frame, but they were all scratched up. It truthfully wasn’t worth the time to try to deal with the hassle of a return or complaint. I read the reviews and knew what I was getting. If you buy, just know that the suction isn’t great, and expect them to be scratched. They are priced cheap and it is what it is.
