Stellar James Martin Boning Knife 15cm/6" - Carbon Stainless Steel, Razor Sharp Blade, Anti-Slip Handle

Normally I would not purchase a knife or indeed any other tool without first getting the feel of it firstBut I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this for its price Handle is covered with a firm rubber material that gives a good grip and of a decent size to fit nicely in the hand.The knife is well balanced and looks to be of a good quality steel and has a small amount of flexibility.I put it to the test of removing the cheeks from a pigs head (a tough old bit of meat)Tackled the job with ease.As to how long it will keep its edge before it needs dressing up, only time will tell. But for now a few swipes on the steel seems to do the trick

I haven’t used it yet but I can’t wait to be able to fillet my own fish and be able to bone a chicken

as per usual the quality of goods purchased was excellent.i am very happy with the product.might i suggest that in this time of cutbacks you may be able to save time and money on your packaging.i appreciate that it is convenient to have as few sizes as possible for the packing department,but the wastage in your company could be drastically reduced just by a short look at this situatation.thanks to all your staff for their efficiency.

It is comfortable to hold and easy to use. Seems to be of very robust quality. My only gripe so far is that it has needed near constant re-sharpening as it seems to blunt very quickly. I would expect a boning knife to retain its edge for a bit longer.

Good quality, commercial standard, sturdy, flexible boning knife. Almost excessively comfortable grip, really the business for anyone with some serious weight to fillet or bone. Can't imagine JM putting his name to anything less!

This knife represents the best value for money of any knife I own. I did not believe that boning any meat could be so easy. It is also useful for filleting fish. As you may realise I am very happy with it.Mick
